Dear Friends

As Advent draws us towards Christmas and 2018 draws to a close, we look back on this year with great thankfulness.

The Community is growing. Alan and Lesley Humphrey joined us after Easter taking on the roles of Warden and House Manager. In September, we grew again with Matt Long the Novice Guardian and his family moving to Leicester. The Companions group grew too with Mirjam and Lusa’s baby daughter Tshala being born.

We’ve been meeting fortnightly for a community meal, worship and growing together in our Rule of Life. You can see our nine core practices and Rule of Life that have emerged by clicking HERE.

Our gatherings have a great inter-generational feel, the six children enjoy playing together and now we even have our first Community Dog…Josie Joy, my Golden Retriever pup likes to join in as much as she is allowed!

September also saw the work on our Community House starting in earnest, so Andrew our Project Manager has been kept very busy. It has been exciting to visit the building site week by week to see the transformation taking place. More pictures in the New Year – we promise!

Next year promises to be a great adventure as we look forward to welcoming our first novices for the Seed Community in February. We’re so grateful for your support and generosity over the last year, thank you, and may your Christmas and New Year bring much blessing.
